Being offered is nice old antique Australian Aboriginal woomera spear thrower.  It measures 30 1/4" in total length and is 1/2" wide at the center.  The front is carved with large Emu and tree.  The background has rough texture and has been rubbed with Lyme or another white substance.  The end of the woomera has tooth wrapped in binding to secure to the end of the thrower.  The opposite end with tapered handle and small knob.  The back is plain.  A nice example of Aboriginal art from the mid 20th century.  Please e-mail with any questions.  Please view my other auctions for great variety of swords, daggers, clubs and tribal art.
