                            GENUINE OAK VINTAGE ANTIQUE                             CURIO CABINET CHINA CABINET
     I am going to describe this genuine oak curio cabinet to the best of my ability based on family history.  It belonged to my grandmother.  She gave it to my mother when we moved into our second home in 1960.  I was yrs. old.  My grandmother told my mother that it was at least 100 years old.  And my grandmother had owned it approx 15 years before giving it to my mom which would add 15 years to its approx age.     Today is 2015 which is 55 years since 1960 when my mom received the cabinet.  Therefore, my best approx. age is 15 100 55 170 years old.  I asked the local antique dealer to look at it and she said it was probably early 1800's to 1850's.  BUT THAT IS ONLY HER OPINION.  She did agree that it is oak.
It is in Excellent Used Condition.  It was used to store china dishes and antiquecollectibles.  It was seldom used.  My mother just enjoyed looking at herbreakables.  The glass is original.  (1) The doors slide easily and there is akey.  (2) The bottom drawers also slide inand out easily. BUT they will go in too far if you push them.  I think there must be “stop” that ismissing.  You cannot tell that thedrawers push in to far if you stop them at the appropriate place.  (3) The bottom drawers DO NOT have theirlocking mechanism.  They broke and myparents were going to have them replaced/fixed – but neglected to do it.   (4) It has2 inner shelves – with additional wooden brackets to add more shelves.  The shelves do not look exactly likethe oaken wood panels on the outside of the cabinet.  do not know if the shelves are oak.  They are very STRONG and not warped. It is Beautiful – The Carvings are Detailed & Gorgeous.48 “ or ft. long If you measure from the crown moulding it is 49" long.At the top it is 14.5" wide from carving to back BUT 15.5" wide from crown moulding to back.At the bottom it is 14.5" wide from carving to back BUT 16" wide from crown moulding to back.It is 62 1/4" or ft. 1/4" tall.The shelves are 46 3/4" or ft. 10 3/4" long and 10" wide.* SMOKE-FREE and PET-FREE HOME *  SHIPPINGPick-up Only.  No shipping available.PAYMENTPAY PAL ONLY.
