Antique Empire chest of drawers with mirrored dresser top made in America C.1880.This beautiful dresser has large drawers to the front with wooden knob handles which are not original but suit the piece well.There is small swivel mirror mounted on top with elegantly shaped arms. This sits atop small drawers which are perfect to house jewelry and trinkets.As you can see it has developed wonderful aged patina with stunning burled wood to the front of the drawers.This piece has undergone some restoration by previous owner such as refinishing, replacement handles which involved filling the holes from the old hardware, and replacing the mirror. This restoration has been very sympathetically done so it retains as much original charm as possible.There is some minor splitting to the top and one side and minor marks and wear throughout which only adds to it's character and charm.Over all this beautiful old dresser is in solid, sturdy condition with minor age appropriate flaws.Dimensions: width 42", depth 18", total height 73 1/4".Shipping within the contiguous United States of America only.
