                Points were produced in the Kimberley region of                                      North Western Australia.  They were primarily used as spear points and as prestige exchange items.               Points are extremely important indications of the identity and cultural               relationships of Australian middle and late stone age industries.They appear to have been used principally as spear barbs and points with the thick                         back mounted in gum in a groove cut in the spearhead shaft.                                                                         Shell point is 7cm
