Hubbell-brand white porcelain industrial light that measure exactly 16.75" diameter at the rim, each one in minty, fully refurbished condition inside and out, tested, and guaranteed to work perfectly. The porcelain on each of these fixtures is in exceptional conditional: glossy and rich with just slight chipping or very light scuffs/scratches here and there (see photos where lights are rotated so you can see all sides). The price is per light, and you save on combined shipping when buying more than one. These lights have porcelain ceramic sockets that accept regular household-size bulbs (incandescent, CFL, or LED). The fixtures have been completely disassembled, cleaned, expertly restored, and rewired. We've included heavy-duty, vintage, swiveling ceiling hangers, 6"-long down rods, and 3' of new wiring, enabling you to readily lengthen (or shorten) the down pipe using 1/2" iron pipe (commonly available at any hardware store in any length in galvanized or black finish). The only damage to these lights is some light chipping at the tops of the necks where the two studs and holding screw of the socket mount contact the shade. That area of the shade is within the socket when hanging, of course, so those chips do not show with the fixture assembled. These industrial lights were originally installed high in furniture warehouse during the early 1960s, in climate controlled-environment where they obviously were protected from extreme conditions. Purchase them with the confidence they will last at least another 50+ years! few specs:
Diameter at bottom rim of fixture: 16.75"Height of fixture only (no ceiling hanger or down pipe): 9.5"Total height of fixture with supplied pipe and ceiling hanger: 16"
At Industrial Antiquities we guarantee your complete satisfaction because each light is:
*Completely disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. Before you buy any light, make sure it has been disassembled, cleaned, and refurbished. We've taken apart thousands of them, and believe us, when you buy them "as is" you will find many of them nearly impossible to take apart, with unsafe and inoperable parts.*Refurbished to the highest standards. Each light-fixture component, down to the tiniest fastener, is inspected and then thoroughly refurbished. Threaded parts are "chased" and lubricated as necessary to ensure everything fits snugly and precisely as it should. We try to keep fixtures as original as possible, but we don't hesitate to replace fasteners, gaskets, and other internal components as necessary, always using parts of equal or better quality than the originals. Though these old lights were generally built to level of quality unmatched in today's world of imported light fixtures, we'll occasionally run across rusty steel screws and other fasteners that are better replaced with stainless steel or brass fasteners. If we replace any major components we always mention that in the description. Metal housings are treated in way to restore their former glory while preserving their vintage look, then treated with no-film corrosion inhibitor. Every fixture is different and requires customized course of treatment, but rest assured that the fixture you are buying has been professionally restored in every way to ensure many more years of enjoyment and safe, reliable operation.*Guaranteed to work. We typically rewire each fixture with copper wire of gauge sized appropriately for any type of light bulb intended for the fixture, including incandescent, CFL, and LED. We include extra-long wires so that you have flexibility in mounting the fixture using longer (or shorter) pipe than we supply. Iron pipes are readily available and inexpensive to purchase, but expensive to ship due to weight, so we just think it makes sense for you to purchase those on your end rather than supply longer lengths with each light. And, of course, we test each fixture to make sure it's in perfect working order.*Accurately photographed and described. Check our outstanding feedback and know that these lights are clearly photographed, from all angles, in sharp detail, so you can see exactly what you're buying. Our descriptions are honest, accurate, and detailed. If you require any more photos or information, don't hesitate to contact us and we'll get back to you quickly.*Ready to hang. With each fixture we include an iron pipe and swiveling hanger for attachment to ceiling junction box. The swiveling hanger ensures the fixture hangs plumb (even on sloped ceilings), and provides "give" should the fixture be accidentally bumped.*Carefully packaged. We generously pad our light fixtures in accordance with the standards established by our major shippers (FedEx, UPS, and USPS), and use sturdy boxes, often double boxing if necessary. Though these lights have prices assigned to them, in many ways we consider them "priceless" because of their rarity, beauty, and the fact that you simply cannot buy comparable modern-day replacement -- and we keep that front of mind in thoughtfully packing every fixture. We typically ship within 24 hours of payment. Most light fixtures are slightly disassembled for safe and economical shipping -- an easy reassembly on your end. We combine shipping to save you money when buying more than one fixture.*Guaranteed to please. We can't remember the last time customer was unhappy, but if you don't like your fixture for any reason, simply return it for full refund.
Quoted shipping is to the lower 48 states.
