Antique Victorian figure of toddler boy holding a cat.  Very nicely detailed, this bisque porcelain boy has beautiful face with hand modeled teeth in his mouth, possibly considered piano baby.  There are delicate purple flowers on the light blue gown, with tiny hand applied gold balls on the bodice of the gown.  Some of the gold beads are missing and some of the gold paint is missing.  There is also spot of different material on the gown, think this is some type of re-enforcement for the porcelain.  There is tiny chip on the ear of the cat.  Looks like the cat may have been fired separately, there is tiny space under the cat's body.  The figure is hand painted, stands 12" high and has 1/4" base.  Weighs just over 1/2 pounds.  There are couple of small chips on the base.  Please note that this piece has no makers mark, but looks to be German made, in the quality of Heubach.  Underneath there are two spots where the figurine has plaster (or another material) added at the factory to stabilize the figurine in the kiln.  I wiped the figure off with damp cloth, but did not clean it, and will leave that up to the new owner.  A lovely piece overall.  Please see pictures, they are part of the description. do my best to describe the items accurately and thoroughly, but I'm not an expert so please feel free to email any questions. Items are stored in smoke-free home.
