purchased this pitcher while visiting Spain in the 1970s.  It measures approximately 9.5" tall and 9.5" wide from the handle to the tip of the spout.) .  The metal content is not marked.  believe it is what is called "nickel silver" which is copper allow that is mixed with nickel (and sometimes zinc).  Although it probably does not contain any actual silver, it does polish to shiny silvery finish (if you don't like the natural patina).
