Vintage KOCH & LOWY OMI Brass Mid Century Modern Articulated Floor Lamp With Glass Diffuser And Dimmer

KOCH & LOWY OMI LAMPSKoch & Lowy was an American lighting company founded in 1946 by immigrant Ernest Lowy.   The company was known for manufacturing contemporary and modern luminaries.  They even produced some of the lesser known but highly collectible George Nelson designs.  During the 1960s, Koch & Lowy purchased the lighting company OMI.  It is common to see Koch & Lowy and OMI listed together in the description of these lamps on sites like 1stdibs, etsy and eBay.  Lamps are typically marked with either the Koch & Lowy name or OMI.  Ernest Lowy's son, Thomas, sold the business in the 1990s.
