Being offered is nice old antique African sword from Morocco referred to as Jabouli.  This sword measures 29" in total length and shows good age dating to the late 19th to early 20th century.  Features an shaped handle with the top and bottom of the handle covered in brass and leather.  The grip has sections of brass wire and camel bone.  The reverse side left plain.  The scabbard is curving with long brass throat and chape with small section in the middle of dyed green leather.  There are brass tacks at that middle section.  The brass sections with floral chasing.  The reverse is plain.  Nice blade.  It is long and curving with long slender point, stars at the forte on each side, fuller running along the spine and then below that wider channel.  Some oxidation to the blade but fairly clean throughout.  A nice example and in pretty good condition for this type of sword.  Please e-mail with any questions.  Please view my other auctions for great variety of swords, daggers and tribal art.
