This lovely Victorian box has polished veneers with m.o.p. roundals and pewter stringing. The cartouche is in m.o.p. With pretty brass escutcheon. Small repair to hinge area, back right hand hinge as shown. green felt is fitted to the base. Box opens on its original brass stay open hinges and lock but no key. The lnterior is beautiful being covered in blue and gold striped period paper with blue velvet to the bottom and underside of the lid. Suitable for jewellery, sewing items or trinkets etc measuring 10" 7" 4" wear commensurate to age, thanks for looking.
