     This decorative panel is about 14 ¼ in. by 22 in. and made from solid piece of Paulownia or Kiri Wood. It shows branches in full bloom with solitary bird. The Shibayama Lacquer work shows high quality; note the branch surface detail. Possibly part of larger cabinet, it makes dramatic wall decoration.  It is in good sturdy condition with its original finish. The old patina has small surface scratches, marks, and dents. The back has missing center support but the horizontal supports keep it solid. There is subtle bow toward the back of the panel.
