This auction features hard to find pair of hand painted porcelain birds. Each of these stands approx. 11 1/2 inches tall and is inches wide. These were manufactured by Goldscheider porcelain works and each retains the company stamp on the base, along with the name (A. Jacob) of the original designer of these pieces. Each of these has an even overall light crazing as to be expected with most old porcelain pieces. The one bird has super small flake to the tip of the crown feather, pictured. This does not protrude into the profile, just on the face of the feather, and would be an easy re-paint if one is so intended. With that minor exception, these both are free from any chips, cracks or repairs.
