nice example of an American  Antique/ Vintage advertising pencil box from Brown & Sharpe MFG. Co,Providence, R.I.U.S.A.. It has these details stamped on the front of the lid and couple of original paper stickers which are shown on the pics. There is little damage, where the wood has broken away but this is on the inside of the slide lid and can,t be seen when lid is in place. Please see pics for details. Apart from that it has lovely age related patina, which, think  adds charm to the box. It measures approx 1/2" 3" and is approx 1/4" deep. Lovely collectors piece.
