Recently found in large inherited collection of high end antiques is this gorgeous Silver Cut Glass ornate vanity box/jar! Featuring wonderful engraved design, this small toiletries box should date somewhere around 1900, possibly little earlier into the Victorian Era! This cut glass box looks to be in perfect condition which is incredible for being over 100 years old! have looked all over and have not been able to find any markings on it, however am nearly positive that the lid is Sterling because all of the items in the collection that it was found with were sterling and were all owned by the same family! The silver top has two small holes on either side as pictured that appear to be there to air out whatever used to be in the box! The box is 1/4" long and 1/2" tall! Even though this piece is desirable and worth considerably more than melt, will add that the lid is 52 grams!
