Antique Victorian Eastlake Carved Wooden Slant Top Cabinet Barley Twist Spindles for sale
This is an excellent original antique (turn of the century) Eastlake style carved wooden cabinet with charming details including gingerbread crest, slant-top cabinet door, two shelves, hand turned barley twist spindles, finials, routed edges, carved lines, and carved accent piece on the front. It is made of solid wood with rich mahogany finish (I don't know what type of wood was used). It was most likely refinished at some point, and the finish is in excellent condition. The entire piece is sturdy, solid, perfectly usable, and looks fantastic. There are no visible cracks or other major damage, just few tiny chips and dings. All joints are tight, nothing is loose or wobbly. The cabinet door is hinged at the bottom and opens downward. There are no hangers or screw holes in the back panel anywhere and the bottom surface is not finished, so think this would have been attached to desk or sat on counter top but could be hung with little modification. Outer dimensions are 23" 10 3/4" 25 1/2" and the inside compartment is 20" 1/2" 10" H. It will be packed securely, shipped in heavy-duty double walled box and fully insured during shipping.
