This little wooden table has been in my family for nearly 50 years. Here's her story...
...My mother was bartender and one night one of her regulars was too drunk to drive so she gave him ride home. know, sounds fishy but that was the story...as they made their way through the entryway, she remarked how adorable this table was. couple days later, he brought it to the bar and gave it to her as token of his appreciation. He told her it was his wife's and that he had bought it for her during the war. It was already quite old at that time. He had it shipped home with his belongings after the war. have been elected to be the care taker of this little table but it just doesn't fit my theme. The top measures 15" inches in diameter and has some aesthetic issues where some of the brass inlay has fallen out. The base is also 15" inches tall and as you can see it folds into its self. One of the hinges has lost it's screws and have not yet taken the time to fix it. In an antique store this table could be found in the hundreds range.
It weighs 10 pounds and will be shipped ground, insured.
