This is genuine Antique/vintage large black metaloil painting box with contents and the original mahogany wooden palette.It was made by Reeves the artists suppliers and hasa brass maker's plaque inside the lid about 1910. The size is 12.75 x 8.75x 1.75 inches.The box contains good range of original and more recentcontents including variety of old tubes of paints, these are in lead tubeswith lead screw caps. Some have set hard but more than half are still soft somight still be useable. There is box of charcoal and  vintage charcoal pencil holder. paletteknife, several more modern sable & ox hair brushes which are in goodcondition – they look unused in fact. There is also lovely mahogany  wooden paint palette in good condition whichfits inside the lid.The exterior of the box is painted black and has wear to thepaint finish to be expected for it’s age. There is hasp by the handle but theother part is missing. Otherwise this is lovely period box for an art loveror just lover of old things. Please ask if you would like more information..
