This is RARE AND HARD TO FIND antique/vintage Thai Nielloware Sterling Silver Jewelry Box. It's lined in beautiful burled wood. It's over 500 grams of silver according to my Jeweler. It's signed the name of the Jeweler THAI NAKON, with his Royal Warrant, Sterling, Thailand on the bottom. This was gift to my Mother, who is now 89, from Mr. and Mrs. Seniwongse Na Ayuthya when she lived in Bangkok, Thailand in the early 1960's. It is engraved with their names.  The Jeweler who made this was the King's Jeweler and the yellow banner inside the presentation box says "T.H.M. THE KING" with the  ROYAL WARRANT and Thai NAKON. 
The Nielloware top depicts the very famous Kings' fight on elephants, one of the hardest to find. The box is in extremely good condition for its age, the bottom needs polishing and there is one small ding on the top left, see photo, barely noticeable. It measures 6.75" 4.25" 1.75" high. The presentation box appears to be velvet lined leather with brass closure. It's in good condition except for the corners. It measures 8.5" 6" 2.5". This is true treasure for serious collector.
