Antique Eastlake Carved Walnut Marble Top Dresser w/ Glove / Jewelry Drawers for sale
You seldom see pieces from the 1800's in this great shape! This Antique Eastlake Victorian Dresser is sure to start quite the conversation. Just look at it It speaks for itself!
This piece was hand crafted from solid walnut. Its common for the Eastlake Walnut dressers to display some hand carved detail Although the amount of small details on this piece is unlike anything I've ever seen.
This piece offers storage at its best with discreet glove drawers located on each side of the mirror and large stacked drawers. Each drawer is faced with beautiful drastic burl wood and extremely elaborate solid wood door pulls and key holes.
The marble top compliments the tone of the walnut perfectly. Although the marble may not be in perfect mint shape We'd rate this marble top an out of 10, showing very minimal wear or blems. Marble top is completely beveled on all displayed sides of the piece.
The mirror on this piece is free pivoting, original glass and encased in beautiful carved frame. Each side of the mirror includes the iconic "candle holders"; seen on many Antique Eastlake Dressers.
To our surprise, this piece was actually refinished in 1963. One of the Glove Drawers is marked "Refinished 1963 JKM". Who ever JKM is outdid them self on this one! This piece looks like its fresh out the local furniture makers door in the late 1800's. There isn't any sign of an "amateurs job" here. JKM went was far as refinishing the insides of every drawer along with every nook and bevel. This was done by professional and perfectionist.
Though keep in mind, this is an antique piece from the late 1800's with expected wear at minimum.
