This listing is for wonderful delicate set of Antique Coffee Spoons with matching Sugar Tongs.
Made by Ainsworth Taylor & Co of Birmingham England, they date back to 1895 or earlier. This is based on the fact that this partnership was dissolved in 1895.
The design on the handles of the spoons is cut out Fleur de Lys with what looks like etched leaves. The marking on the back is & Co EPNS. The tongs have the same marking and cut out fleur de Lys with slightly different etched design.

The spoons and the tongs are 9.5 cm long. They are all cased in their original box which is lined with plum coloured satin edged with twisted cord. The spine of the box is broken so it is in pieces but otherwise it is good for its age.
The spoons and tongs are in excellent condition with no areas of silver loss. They have light scratching from use but the quality is very good. They are very beautiful pieces.
