A LARGE VICTORIAN , ANTIQUE WALNUT WRITING BOX WITH SECRET DRAWERS CIRCA 1890. for sale
large Victorian brass bound Walnut writing box with original secret drawers, wonderful colour & patina dating to around 1890.Measuring approx 19 3/4" wide, 3/4" deep & 7" tall & in very good condition from top to bottom.The wood is beautiful warm colour & it's very nice box in every way. A good box that will look even better in the right setting it will make wonderful gift.Complete with lock & key but not in perfect working order as it's worn from age use, the interior looks superb & has the original worn writing surface -see pictures.Please remember this is an antique , not new & so will have age/ marks tiny scratches dents etc, & character from 100 plus years of use but that's what makes an antique & gives it charm & character.A good large size & very heavy at just under 4Kg before packing.
