1930's Vintage HECWORTH Silver Plate Footed Tea Pot Pot 900ml for sale
On offer is this vintage silver plate teapot/hot water pot by Hecworth. Simple and elegant shape on central foot, with black handle and finial. It has been engraved on one side "Presented to George Ware by his Colleagues on The New and The Mail Adelaide 18th March 1936". I presume this was retirement or special occasion gift at that time.Stands ~17.5cm to the rim (17cm to top of handle, ~21cm to top of finial). Spans 26cm handle to spout. Holds approx 900ml. In fair/good condition. There is little blistering of the silver plate on the rim near the handle and on the hinged on the lid (see last photo). There is also small patch of wear to the silver plate near the spout (when handle on the left) showing as golden patina. Otherwise some minor surface scratches/marks consistent with age and use. Interior would require clean prior to use. Please consider photos. Pickup available from Camberwell (3124) or Docklands (3008) otherwise postage as quoted. Happy to combine postage for multiple purchases. Will be sent with full tracking information. Payment within days of item finishing please, unless otherwise arranged.
