~ Welcome to William Sharpe Antiques ~  Here today for your consideration we havethis incredibly rare set of viking salt dishes, attributed to Marius Hammer of Norway, C-1800's. This lovely boxed set of four is in good condition, with the exception of one salt dish missing neck. Aside from this, they present fairly with the gilding in various stages of wear throughout. There are no major dents and scratches to report, and no monograms. Each dish is marked 830 and makers mark which do not recognise, however, it is quite likely an early Marius Hammer mark (established 1847). The box is in good condition, and includes the provision for salt spoons (which are missing).
