Antique Art Nouveu Silverplate Footed Germany Wilhelm Castle Hotel Souvenir Box for sale
This very ornate Art Nouveau dogwood encrusted themed repousse footed silverplate trinket box is in excellent condition. It is lined in an ivory moire like fabric. It is from Germany and dates back to the early 1900's. Sorry but the picture embossed on the top of the box is upside down in my photo. It shows huge flight of steps leading to the grand castle doors and surrounded by tall evergreen trees. There is an inscription on the top of the box which reads, "CASSEL WILHELMS HOHE", followed by smaller words which read, "CASCA DEN". This box is beautiful and quite collectible. It would have been souvenir no doubt. It measures 5/8" tall 1/4" wide 1/4" deep.
