This medieval "Gallant" tapestry (Needlepoint)shows scene of couples in the countryside. Based on an original in the ClunyMuseum in Paris, this piece is an example of wall hangings in medieval style,with royalty in elaborate garments, and mille fleur background. The noblesare enjoying the day in the verdure countryside and are accompanied by theirpet dogs and hounds. The foliage in olives, greens and abundance of flowersdecorate the scene. This 35” 24” (90 61 cm) tapestry is lined on the back and has 5brass hooks for easy hanging.This tapestry is based on an original thoughtto originate from the 15th century France. The original of this medievaltapestry hangs in the Cluny Museum in Paris.
